With Christ in the School of Prayer!

A few months ago I found this ratty old book with its cover torn off and my fathers name handwritten in the front.  Because I hardly knew my Dad but had heard that he was a man of God who desired to see the Spirit poured out, I decided to read the book as a way to get some insight into my fathers world at that time.  Well the book was called, “With Christ in the School of Prayer”, its pages were yellow and the old English font and language was a challenge, but I ploughed through it, feeling my spirit quicken to the time tested truth he penned.  As I read, I thought about my own father reading these words 3 decades earlier and I was so inspired that I thought, ‘other people should be able to read it.’  I had never heard of Andrew Murray but thought his words were so profound that I should blog the chapters so others could enjoy the revelation they offered.  I tried to lose some of the old English and not to further weaken the structure of the ratty old book as I copied the first few chapter from the tiny size 8 font and was enjoying reading it through again as I went.

Then, another day while wandering around Koorong, I noticed an Andrew Murray book, in facts dozens of them and realized that this man was not a ‘little known’ teacher of the word but an author who needs absolutely no introduction from me.  Hence I have ceased to copy that tired little book but recommend his work to anyone who wants to see their prayers answered.  If you are not happy to pray for the sake of it, get into Koorong and buy, “With Christ in the School of Prayer”, by Andrew Murray - $8 and start praying!  Thanks Dad
